Paper-dolls in Progress

I probably won't get a chance to post the finished pictures here. But I will put links to them.
I will post better pics on flickr. See the side bar for link.

I have made 3 Mama cats and a total of 6 daughter cats. Each Mama cat will have one daughter and the last set of little girl cats will have purses and mittens, like the three kittens.

These are a group of paper dolls that will have other things that come with them, only I haven't made them yet. They were so much fun to make because I used scraps as I was cleaning out my studio. papers and things left over from other projects.

Mermaids

These are some of the Caribbean Mermaid Paper-dolls that I have created.

The inspiration for these paper dolls was two of my favorite mermaid stories: "Sukey and the Mermaid" by Robert D. San Souci and
"The Mermaids Twin Sister" by Lynn Joseph.

These stories captured my imagination. I also love the many versions of "The Little Mermaid". I like Disney's version with the steel drum beat songs, and I have also seen and read more sinister versions. Another mermaid favorite of mine is Aquamarine, which is a cute teen movie, but Mermaids all the same.

Brand new paper doll blog:

This is my new blog. I will start with a few older paper dolls, then I will continue as I make new ones.

These were made from pictures of my original hand drawn paper-dolls,posed with hand made cut-outs then printed out and re-colored. The paper is crumbled, and when you play with them they have a beautiful patina, of being old and very well loved.
