I was thinking today about what it means to have good fortune. I believe it is aligned with your circumstances, what you are willing to allow, gratitude, and a lot more than I am aware of.

I start with the file. I use Inkscape. A simple way of turning anything I draw, into vectors, then I can use these components to create my design.

These were cut using a brother scan n cut machine.

These are from random kits that I will have in my Etsy shop. The circle is a test cut. I used 140 lb water color paper 9" inches x12 " inches.

I removed them from the cutting mat, and painted them with water color.

After painted them I added doodles and calligraphy.

More fun with my cutting machine.

A few years ago I started playing with Ink scape. I began to make my own colored SVG files. Now I am using them with my cutting machine.

Here is a house design I have been playing with:

These were cut from two of my cutting file collections.

I painted them pink with water color. I had flowers, bird and other elements.

It's fun to lay the pieces out.  Brads and foam tape are my favorites when it comes to attaching the pieces together. I will show you in the next part How I use these to put the house together.

I love this cutting machine.I have created some SVG designs from my sketches.

I cut them from water color paper.

Wow! So much fun!

Here is a purse example:

I cut the purse SVG file from watercolor paper.

Then I painted the pieces with watercolor, then doodle in some patterns.

Then I put the pieces together by punching holes and adding  brads.

Then I created more cuts from some paper doll files, and clothing files.

I cut out the paper-doll pieces, on watercolor paper. Painted them with watercolor paints, then punched the holes, using a pencil to line up attaching pieces.

Finished paper-doll.

Then I played with cutting out paper doll clothes and embellishments.
I used a sepia graphic pen to create the doodles over the water color.

The cut files (.SVG and .PNG ) will be available here:

i am grateful

A gratefulness journal with a twist. Pages for :

Gratefulness practice
Prayers for loved ones
Manifestation practice

And lots of lined areas for old fashioned journal writing.

Available at Amazon here.

I love a large format journal. This one is 8.5 x 11 inches. It feels so good to have a versatile journal you can keep near the bed, your favorite chair, or that spot where you have your morning coffee or tea.
I included spot drawings if you feel inclined to color, with lots of open space if you like to doodle or zentangle.

Here are some examples of my thought process:

It still looks great if you want to leave them uncolored and fill it with your writing. I find I have multiple topics to journal about, yet am helped/inspired by a few gentile prompts.

Take advantage of  look inside feature. I will be showing demos on getting the most from this journal as well as featuring stickers and pockets to inspire your creativity.
