Sketchbook Saturday

My entry for the Sketchbook Challenge. The November theme is "imaginary animals". I've always imagined sea turtles with flowers painted on their backs.

Fantastic Flat Paper-doll April 2011

I know its May, but it took time to finish this one because of regular life and overbooking.

The April theme was "cherry blossom".

I'm experimenting with backgrounds and creating a scene. I had quite a few ideas for this one and they were changing everytime I went to the drawing board. It was a fun ride!

One World One Heart (OWOH)

Thank your for stopping here. Hello to those who are visiting my blog for the first time. I make paper dolls. I love drawing their faces, designing their clothes, posing them and telling their stories.

Their main story they tell is about how unique and special we all are just by being.

These are the paper dolls featured in the drawing.

Please leave a comment below to participate in the drawing. I am giving away 4 paper dolls, (separate drawing for each). If you do I will be visiting you at some point.

Hello to everyone who checks in to see what I am up to. There are so many interesting blogs, with beautiful projects, and meaningful topics and heartfelt stories, and eye candy, I am honored that you took the time to stop here.

Here are the paper dolls in the drawing:

A year in review

Here are some randomly selected projects that I worked on in 2010. Month by month it did not seem like I was accomplishing much, but I turned out a large body of work. This is a sample of what I worked on.

I was inspired by Deryn Mentock of Something Sublime who was using this to evaluate her work and to take a look towards a creative path forward. Looking at my work I am not sure what my way forward is.

I know what I want the end products to be and where I want to take them, the question I have to ask is, where are they taking me? What part in my healing does my art play? Where does it want me to go?

These are the things I want to listen for in the coming year.
