Paper doll Swap theme: "Costume Party"

This month's theme was a challenge for me, because these
were not the dolls I had planned to make. This month I
joined both the ATC swap and the Art doll swap.

One view out of the card and in the card.

One view with headdress and with out headdress.

For some reason "Costume Party" kept making me think of "Costume Jewelry".

paper-doll symbolism

The three cards in her pocket represent looking forward,
looking to the past, and hopes wishes and dreams.

Sometimes we have to look back and remember the things
we forgot when we were fighting demons along the path
of following our heart.

A quick look can give you confidence to go ahead.
Closing your eyes to fill the well with your dreams,
and give you the rest to make a big push.
you need to do is close your eyes take a big breath and start.

The goodies on her dress to me symbolize the outer rewards.
I really feel the journey is its own reward and outer rewards
get you to try.

Sneak Peak

Personal Symbolism

I've been thinking about personal symbolism, and
trying to take note of what I use in my artwork. I
tend to use hearts, (love, passion, devotion) not too
hard to understand. I thought I would take a look at
my use of birds, wings and angels.

To be these represent my creativity and how free I feel in the expression of it. To me birds represent messengers,
reminding me how delicate and unique each life is.

Birds to me also represent curiosity. The angels represent my desire towards "good" in life, to strive for higher goals.

The colorful detailed dresses, symbolize a desire to have a colorful life filled with interesting things. Also the details that make a full life. The "tattoos" ; ) represent the scars from the difficulties, hard times and problems, and how they make beautiful.

I love including a heart with my work. The heart represents going forward with all your heart, keeping it close by ready to give it all to someone or something.

Valentine ACEO Paper dolls

Tiny ACEO sized cards with a paper doll in the pocket.

Because of the bulk they don't fit into a trading card holder.
I also change them around a lot while playing with them.
They are not always in the same colored card.

They are a mixture of computer printed, hand drawn are and printed papers.
All items are fully lined and signed by the artist on the back.

Each will be sold separately.

The link to where they will be on sale will be here:

Valentine delivery cannot be guaranteed unless you contact me first.
