Free downloads

I am taking a class in creating digital scrapbooking downloads. I am having fun. Many of the lessons am offering for a limited time (until I finish the class) as free downloads. This lesson was on creating a decorative paper-clip. The download is created in .PNG and .PSD files.

I would love to feature any creative projects you come up with on my blog. At some point I will be forming a design team. I haven't created any terms, or finished creating my line, if you are interested let me know .

Please visit my new blog by clicking on the image and the link is in the post. If you would like to share the file with your friends, please e-mail them the text link (inside the file) so that they can control their bandwidth, or get a good easy to download file, and i can keep track of popularity in helping me to design more and interesting downloads.

Butterfly Joy paper-doll

A new hand-made paper-doll listing for my Etsy shop.

I love using polka-dot paper for the skin. The scrapbook paper dress, the attached butterflies, the joy brad at her neck line. I had so much fun making this one.
She is larger that the usually paper-dolls I make.

Journaling workshop

I am taking a class with Valerie Sjodin It is a mini journaling workshop. I am so inspired by this workshop. it is affordable, and the videos are short and to the point, that a person like me with bandwidth issues can play them without going over my fair use amount.

I created an inspiration board, to help me with color, and layout. This is not a part of the class, but it really helps me to get a project started.
The tableware is by Tracy Porter, and the sculpted paper is by Carlos Meira

On my table today

I like to play with the random elements on my table. I created several handmade books from paste paper. Some of the papers I have scanned and created printed papers I take pictures and use them as sketches of combinations I like.

Painting abstracts

I am participating in Creative Every Day in November. Yesterday I posted some papers I have been painting. I chose a few colors, red, blue, a buttermilk yellow, black, and blue. Next I took a pad of 116 lb paper, and with black paint and a small brush I began to paint lines to block off sections:
I then filled in the blocks with colors that at the time felt yummy to me.
I painted details of doodles on top of the color blocks. The pictures show different patterns and designs, I was so into this it was hard to follow it step by step to take photos. I plan to use these paintings in other projects later.

I spent the day painting.........

I just chose a few colors, and 115lb paper. I created freehand outlines in black. I filled in the background colors, then doodled patterns with paint. This was fun. I became absorbed in the colors I picked and how they worked together.

I made several groups. I iron them flat and am going to create a hand made book with them.

on my table now

I am working in some books I put together a while ago. On my table I have a box of faces, leaves, words, drawings, papers, ribbons and more.
As I am working on other projects they leave scraps, that I like to play with .
I love the way the sunlight plays through the window.

Art Everyday Month

Starts in November, very much like NaNoWriMo National Novel Writing Month in November is great for launching that energy inside to write a first draft of a novel. There is also one for non-fiction.
I would love to make this the start of a fresh new cycle of creativity.

Imaginary still-life

More sketches. I hope I can develop this into something larger. I had in mind a painting or drawing for the kitchen. Keep in mind my walls are green.

Sunshine and Roses paper-doll download

I love the sun! I feel so good when the sun is shining. in my gratefulness for the sun I pay tribute and honor the sun symbolically in my artwork in small ways whenever I can. I love creating paper-doll downloads. I hear such wonderful stories about how people are giving them as gifts, including them in parties, and how they are inspiring creativity. they are also an inexpensive way to collect artwork. To find out more about this paper doll and to see what is included in the 8 page download visit my Etsy shop.
