Flat paper doll swap

The Flat paper doll Yahoo group that I am in has a topic and
a swap around that topic every month. This month the topic
is: Snow Queen, and Ice Queen .

I made two of the same doll for the paper doll swap. I actually
made the ATC before the topic was announced.

Here are the two dolls in progress:







Some details still have to worked out, like how to attach
the heart, and the feet. I would like to take better pictures,
or scan them. The colors are not true. The wings on the heart,
if I decide to keep them need to be scaled down.

New Inspiration and love for what I do

I spent the last half of December and most of January filling my
creative well. I have been reading and following creative threads.

I love decorative folk painting and painting on furniture and have
been filling my eyes and heart with visual images, and certain forms
of that art. I love tole painting and fractur .
I hope to complete work that brings influence from it into my work.

I have also spent some time working with embossing copper and my
first love shrink plastic.

I started this paper-doll a while back. Then,
I started making pockets and aprons.



She has accessories:



A set of cards and a Lovebird.

December flat paper doll swap

The theme is: Holiday Celebrations.

My favorite holiday is New Years Day.
A day to start fresh and to tackle a main goal.

Penny Lane

I am going to start a series of paper dolls that will
be offered as patterns or templates.

This is the first one. She comes with a parasol and
a hat that can be removed.



So far patterns are made and instructions are
partly written.I'll bet you'll be seeing more parasols.
This one was so much fun to create.

I really like making paper dolls from my paintings.

I am going to have a New Years drawing, for a free paper doll,
which will be announced in my news letter. The sign up box

once every 2 or 3 months.

More paper dolls from paintings

I have taken faces from some more of my paintings and
turned them into paper dolls.


I've been promising to list paper dolls on Etsy for
weeks. Garden chores, elections, weddings and more
not withstanding I should get a few new ones listed soon.

Paper doll Swap theme: "Costume Party"

This month's theme was a challenge for me, because these
were not the dolls I had planned to make. This month I
joined both the ATC swap and the Art doll swap.

Autumn Fairy for paper-doll swap

This is my paper doll for the
Fantastic Flat Paperdolls swap.
The theme was "autumn fairy".
